Me and Pug-a-Poo, is a combination of a children’s television show and a high school sex education program. While the presenter tries to educate her audience about sexually transmitted diseases, she spreads false information by claiming that STD stands for “So Totally Disgusting”. The character is in the role of friendly educator, but is also verbally abusive towards her side-kick, Pug-a-Poo. She calls him “disgusting” and continuously humiliates the puppet even though she bears a similar soar on her mouth. The video is inspired by sex education that wishes to educate teenagers, but simultaneously creates a fear of sex and feelings of self-loathing. Sex becomes an enemy who carries disease and therefore must be battled with embarrassment.
